In Memory of Lisa Walker

It is with a very heavy heart that we announce our dear sister Lisa Walker passed away on the morning of Friday, August 28. A longtime resident of our coastal community, Lisa was known and loved by many. The Mendocino county birding community was enriched by the knowledge she shared from her daily reports, often given in real time, of bird sightings along our coast. Those who had the privilege to bird with her in the field or to simply enjoy the beauty of her photography will miss her greatly, but her memory and legacy will endure. We support her family and closest friends in this time of loss. There will be a memorial for Lisa at Glass Beach on Saturday, September 26, at noon. A full obituary will follow in our October newsletter.
